49 Lakh Plus ITRs (Income Tax Returns) Filed on a Single Day (On 31st August 2019): It’s a History

The Income Tax department has made a history with a quantum jump in the e-filing of Income-Tax Returns with an all time high record of 49,29,121 ITRs (Income Tax Returns) filed in a single day on 31st August 2019. Some interesting statistics are as under:

• World record with filing of 49 lakh plus ITRs in one day.
• 1.5 crore ITRs were filed in the last five days of August.
• 4% rise in the total ITR filings this year.
